Lodging

We plan to schedule the ceremony early enough that you can head back to the mainland afterward (we're thinking 3pm, but don't quote us on that quite yet!), but we hope you consider making a night of it! We've listed a few options below. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or if you'd like help finding a vacation rental buddy.

Your best bet (read: cheapest): vacation rentals by owner
We've had great luck so far finding some affordable and fun vacation rentals on South Whidbey. We recommend checking out vacationrental.com (or vacation rentals by owner). When searching, look for anything on the south end of the island, especially those near Langley, Freeland, Mutiny or Useless Bay, and the south end of Holmes Harbor.

If you're considering this option, we strongly encourage you to start looking soon! Many houses are already booked for much of next summer!

Plan B: Group camp at South Whidbey State Park
We also plan to reserve the group camp at nearby South Whidbey State Park. This is a cheap and easy option for anyone looking to spend the night on the island, especially if you have an RV. Please let us know if you're interested in this option. And definitely get in touch with us at least a few weeks prior to the wedding if you'd like to stay at the group camp, so we can get a final head count.

Whidbey Island B&Bs
Whidbey prides itself on its local flair. In terms of lodging, this equates to small, independantly owned inns and B&Bs. This isn't a conclusive list, but here's a starting point...

Langley (this is the closest town to the venue; it's adorable and right on the water!)
  • Langley Motel: cute, cozy, and on the edge of town; $85 to 105 per couple, per night; 4 units (family friendly); 360.221.6070
  • Country Cottage of Langley: 6 private cottages; $139 and up; 800.713.3860
  • Boatyard Inn: on the water's edge; $180 to $250 per night; 5 spacious units (family friendly); 360.221.5120
  • Saratoga Inn: great views; $155 to $235; 16 rooms; 360.221.5801
  • The Inn at Langley: luxurious with amazing views; $195 and up; 26 rooms; 360.221.3033
  • Eagles Nest Inn: 4 rooms; $150 and up; 800.243.5536
Freeland

Back on the mainland…
If you're planning to get your party on and don't want to head all the way back to the city the night of the wedding--yet can't find any lodging on Whidbey--consider staying at the Silver Cloud Inn in Mukilteo. It's back on the mainland, but it's literally right next to the ferry dock.

Seattle lodging
We're still considering group-rate options for Seattle-side hotels. Stay tuned!
Near the airport
If you're interested in slightly less expensive lodging, consider staying near SeaTac Airport. The new light rail is now up and running, so you can easily take the train into the city to explore.
City stays
If this is your first time in the Emerald City, stay downtown and soak it all in! You can take the light rail directly from the airport into the city. There are lots of lodging options, but here are a few suggestions:
Hope this helps! Please call or email with any questions.
